Very rare antique typewriter. The Royal typewriters were first manufactured in the early 1900s by E.B. Hess (according to the Typewriter Museum) and touted as a \"workhorse\". The initial Royal typewriter was later followed by two additional models, the Royal 5 typewriter and the Royal 10 typewriter, which are the most valuable ~ for Sale here is the Royal model #10 . The Royal 10 was introduced in 1914 and this typewriter has one single glass panel on either side. The Royal 10 was marketed as being the sturdiest and strongest typewriter around. To underline the point, the Royal Company even organised stunts, where it threw typewriters ( in crates ) from airplanes, to show that they would even survive a fall. This typewriter is from and estate sale and in good condition, but needs a good cleaning from years of just sitting. Great chance to own a very rare piece of American History for a very fair price.
