Antique Early Temple Stone Dieity Inking On Rice Paper Circa 1930s Depicts Story of Ramakien . This is not what is usually described as a stone rubbing. The Early Versions Wete Typically weighted cloth bags of sand Hit with Ink and then Hit the stone carvings as under rice paper for a very vibrant impression of the temple wall dirties car ed into the stones of the wall. Many of these impressions on rice paper are from stones that had been removed  or copied from the temple stones and mass produced.

This piece is as farm fresh as they get from a Barn in Maine, I have had it for several months enjoying and researching it. There appears to be a good amount of very barely legible writing, some imprinted or watermark  information on the very old early lined type rice paper similar to cigerette rice papers used pre WW2 with some very early well aged cellophane tape. The inking has some noticable age spotting and a very unique water spot on press cardboard backing the rice paper had been taped to for structure almost appears devilish or horned bull ??? And had been in a loosely supported almost  shadow box type frame the family evidently desired much more that that the inking and it was removed from the frame and set aside where I found it,  now for your consideration  to make yours
