Antique Philippine Silver Mounted Moro Islamic Gunong Punal Dagger c. 1885 For Sale

This fine Philippinne Moro Punal Dagger has an amazing iridescent banded figured hardwood handle and fine silver filagree mounts joining the handle to a finely chased silver guard and a damascened slightly serpentine double sided blade so sharp one could shave with it. The teakwood scabbard is similarly silver mounted with with fine tooled borders and bead molded edges. The overall length of this remarkable knife is 12 3/8" (with a 7 7/8" blade). With the 8" scabbard it is a total of 12 1/2" long. The silver belt loop might be a later replacement.Stock number SAZ
