Antique Gutta Percha Match Safe Vesta Book Shape open both end 19C Civil War Era For Sale

Beautiful 19th century gutta percha match safe with hinged flip opening at each end. The match safe is book shaped and has a different pattern on each side and the textured striker is on what would be the page end of book. Measures 2-3/4\" x 1-5/8\" and 1/2\" thick. At first glance I thought there were small chips at ends flips open, but these are carved in notches to ease opening and same on all sides. Very good, no cracks or damage and only tiny signs of age.
