Antique Georgian Solid Silver Musical Snuff Box Music Box C.1820 (Watch Video) For Sale

Here we have something very special indeed. An antique solid silver, Georgian musical snuff box.
This exquisite item was made during the very early part of the nineteenth century. The silver hallmark denotes that the case was made in Paris, France and was crafted using 950/1000 silver. The musical movement would have certainly been made in Switzerland.
The solid silver case is in excellent condition with the lid opening and closing as if it was made just yesterday. Made by the very finest of craftsmen, you are immediately aware that what you are holding in your hand is something of very fine quality. Inside of the box the fine interior shimmers elegantly in the light as you slowly open the lid.
The musical movement contained within the solid silver case is also of the highest quality. Only the very best of musical movements were put into cases such as these and this one is no exception.
The box comes complete with its original, ornate key.
There are two silver controls to the front of the case. The one on the right will start and stop the music and the one on the left changes the tune.
There are two tunes on the movement. Both of which are of the highest quality in terms of musical arrangement. A top quality musical movement made specifically for a high end solid silver case.
The case measures 3 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 1 1/8 inches high.
In summary, a 200 year old Georgian investment quality musical antique, in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A wonderful heirloom to pass on down through the family.
