Antique Faux Tortoiseshell Pique Snuff/Trinket Box c.1840’s For Sale

Offered for sale is this antique faux tortoiseshell snuff/trinketbox. It is decorated with gold (not tested) pique stars, leaves, vines andcenter medallion. This box is unusual for its ball shape and “blonde” color.You don’t often see this color whereas you most often see these made with adarker color material. To open, you gently pull the 2 spheres apart toaccess the inside. Overall it is in good pre-owned condition with surface wear,and some stress marks that is appropriate for its age. It is a unique piece for your collection!
