Dimensions are ; 14 1/8" high , 4 5/8" wide , 3 3/4" deep , with a base measurement of roughly 5 5/8" X 5" . Material is hand painted and parcel gilt porcelain . Produced in pre-war Dresden - factory unknown . A truly wonderful work from one of the porcelain factories of Dresden Germany. We have here a very young man , almost still a boy dressed in the very typical almost fantasy like finery of a Royal Court , so emblematic of the great variety of figural porcelain that came out of the the great city of porcelain arts , Dresden. He is clad in leotards , delicate slippers , and wears a tunic length top with great flowing billowed sleeves that dip virtually to his knees. His feet are shod in very slight 'slippers' and his head is topped in a round cap with a sprig or feather. In the youths hands he bears a stemmed goblet and a plate , a gilded double lobed flask hangs on a chain from his belt . The colors are pastels punctuated by occasional gilding and jewel tones. Leaning against a balustrade on a floral footed hexagonal platform. It's a great piece and good sized at over 14". There are some areas when porcelain 'lace' appears to be missing but it's hard to tell precisely so please closely examine the photos .
