Here is a Chinese antique double inkwell with the inkwells on a wooden platform. Turn of the 19th-20th Century.Two different kinds of wood, but I don't know what kind of wood. This antique piece has dragon heads in Chinese silver on each corner of the platform. The inkwells and dragon heads are made of Chinese silver.
