Antique Carpenter’s Chest filled with Woodworking Tools.
True barn find with only some sight clean up to show the true condition. Some good quality saws and other smaller unique items. Many Tools are engraved with initials “O.L.” and is a great set for use or to have in any collection. Please see photos for condition and let me know if you have any questions. -Rip Saw: Henry Disston & Sons (dark wood) Disston markings/label still visible on blade. circa 1917-1940*
-Rip Saw: Henry Disston & Sons(lighter wood) No visible markings on blade. circa 1888-1896*
-Coping Saw: E. Catkins & Co. Indianapolis USA No. 50 circa ~1945*
-Key Hole Saw: C.E. Jennings markings on the blade with “arrow” trademark. Possible circa late ~1930s*
-T-Bevel: Woodrough & McParlin Cincinnati markings on the blade
-Hammer: shows a good amount of wear and can only make out what looks to be the last three letters of “ITY”
-Two additional saws are included but do not have any markings.
-3 additional wood tool handles and replacement metal tool case handle
-2 spools of twine. One brass and one William V MacGill & Co First Aid RECROSCO Oxide of Zinc (Chicago)
-Vintage Chicago business card circa 1928-1941*
-Wood case has removable tray and various hook to keep some tools in place. Disston saws fit nicely in the case door. Dimensions are 26”x11”x6”. Handle is starting to come apart but comes with a replacement. Lock comes with key.
