I am pleased to offer this Antique Photograph of the U.S.S. Tennessee Armored Cruiser #10 Ship.
The U.S.S. Tennessee was commissioned in 1906, and was the lead ship of its class. It had a strong history, serving in Europe, South America/Central America,The Pacific Fleet,Cuba,and patrolled theEast Coast until 1914 when she joined the Atlantic Reserve Fleet and begun her involvement in World War I.
The ship was renamed TheMemphis, and is surrounded by controversy as it was allegedly sunk by a "Tsunami" in the August of 1916.
This photo is original, and is stamped on the back "Photo by H.E. Morse, 36 Mt. Vernon Street, Charlestown, Mass."
The picture comes with a nice wood frame.
Photo measures approx. 9" W x 6" H, mat measures approx. 12" W x 8-7/8" H, Frame measures approx. 14-3/8" W x 11-1/4" H x 3/4" Thick
Condition:
This antique photograph is in good condition, showing some mild staining to the photo and mat. There is also some light edge wear to the mat as well. The frame shows some light scuffs from hanging, however it is in strong condition.
