Antique Abstract of title for Marston & Augers Subdivision, Chicago Il - 1889. This subdivision encompassed the 8-block area from 69th Street on the north to 71st Street on the south, and from Ashland Avenue on the west to Loomis Street on the east, part of Chicago\'s south side. Prepared by Cook County Abstract Company for Thomas B. Marston, one of the original developers of the subdivision, in 1889. Of the two names handwritten on the cover, Hutton and Dalk, John David Dalk (1857-1922) purchased the lot on the southwest corner of 69th street and Loomis Street where in the late 1890s he built a two-story building, butcher shop below and living quarters above. Two of his daughters were still living in this building as late as the 1960s and the building was still standing in 1996, but is now gone. The Hutton name is a mystery to the seller. The cover has some wear and tear (see pictures) but the inside pages are in perfect condition. Very rare find. Shipped with USPS First Class. Photo of the Dalk family not included
