Here is a Recent Estate Find. This is a Rare Antique Working 1942 CHELSEA WWII U.S. Military Brass Porthole Ship Deck Wall Clock, Made By The Chelsea Clock Company Boston Mass. USA. The Clock Measures approx. 7 1/4" in Diameter with a 6" Dial. The Case is Made of Heavy Brass and Has a 'Screw Off' Bezel, with Porthole Style Design. The Dial is the Original Silver Metal Dial with Arabic Numerals, and Large Seconds Sweep Hand, Signed "Chelsea Clock Co. Boston" and "U.S. Maritime Commission Ser. No. 4672". It Has a Chelsea 8 Day Brass Mechanical Wind-Up Spring Driven 'Time Only' Movement with Balance Wheel and Lever Escapement, Signed "Chelsea Clock Co. Boston USA 312022". The Serial Number Dates This Clock to 1942. This is the Correct Movement for This Case, and the Movement and Case Have Matching Serial Numbers!!! This is a Key Wind Clock and Includes a Winding Key.
