Antique 1915 Beaded Crewel Wicker Tray Brass Handles, Birds/Grapes, Signed/Dated For Sale

Beautiful Antique Americana Beaded Crewel Wicker Tray With Brass Handles. Birds have tan/brown seed beads outlining their heads, top of neck and all the way down the blue stitched front side, light tan/yellow seed beads outline the top of beige stitched wing area/back. Birds eyes are made of light tan/yellow, green and one black seed bead. Green seed beads line the middle of the wing area as well as outlining the tail. Tan leaves are adorned with green seed beads. Grapes are a dual toned purple stitch, trees and outline are made of natural tone stitching. Bottom of crewel work is signed and dated, appears to be either KS or XS with a year date of 1915. Tray frame is wood with woven wicker sides. Glass covers the crewel work. Green felt has been applied to the bottom. A string has been attached to each handle across the back to allow this piece to hang on the wall, but can easily be untied and removed without any damage. Please note, this piece is extremely fragile, the wicker is broken and coming apart in multiple places. The actual wood frame seems to be quite sturdy still, no missing nails, etc, and handles are tight and secure. Glass is in great shape, no major scratches, no chips, cracks or repairs evident. Crewel work seems to be slightly pulling down at the top, has some discoloration, but is in overall great condition. All beadwork seems complete. Measures approximately 24 inches wide from end to end of wicker, approximately 16 inches long from top to bottom of wicker edges, and approximately 2 & 2/3 inches deep from glass to top of wicker sides.
