Antique 1910 Handmade Patchwork Quilt Pink Blue Red Vintage 74”x67". Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class (3 to 5 business days).
Super charming 74”x67” antique hand quilted American patchwork quilt with commemoration date of “Mar. 15, 1910” embroidered in a center square. The photos don’t do the quilt justice - it is very charming and country / pioneer like. Muslin backing. Looks to be all cotton material and quite lightweight.
Quilt has typical wear/tear/stains/patina/aging for its age of 110 years! In one square, the fabric completely melted away as is typical of certain brown or red dyed antique fabrics. There are a couple of worn away spots and stains and the back shows age patina.
With the right care, the quilt can probably be cleaned up very nicely. It has not been washed or used in at least 50 years.
The quilt was purchased by me in the 1980’s from an antique dealer on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach Florida, who had purchased the quilt from the estate of a Palm Beach woman named Ruth who had passed away when she was in her late 90’s. March 15, 1910 may have been her wedding date.
