Antique 1800 French Embroidery Wall Plaque RELIGIOUS CREST CROWN INSIGNIA 18”DIA For Sale

Rare and Wonderful antique late 1800’s French round wall plaque, embroidered with threads, pearls and colored stones. I beleive this may either be of a religious nature (crest from a patron saint) or could be an estate crest or family crest. This plaque measures 18” in diameter and is quite large. (See the picture of it hanging in my hall to get an idea of size.) Wonderful mix of silks and rich materials. Embroidery materials from a bygone era. The top has a crown, then some sort of insignia underneath. The back is a faded silk material. In very good condition for its age. Has a few pearls missing on the embroidery on the edges...hardly noticeable since this piece has a lot of stuff going on...Edged in a gold silk brocade trim. Would look cool to use this over a bed as a bed crown with material glowing underneath (from the bottom). Purchased over 25 years ago and was part of my private collection. Downsizing, so have to let a few treasures go....Ships from Atlanta, GA.
