For sale we have this beautiful antique Art Deco desk/boudoir lamp. We believe it may have been produced by Markel Corp. (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the 1930\'s.
The lamp possesses all the quintessential elements of the Art Deco period with its \"ray gun\" discs, its streamlined stylized chrome base and its original frosted glass shade.
The lamp has its original pull and it works.
There are no chips, cracks, repairs or hairlines on the original glass shade.
The chrome is in overall nice shape.
There may be some surface scratches, a few small areas of grey enamel/niello loss as well as some minor wear to the chrome on the base commensurate with age and usage (please see photos). However, overall this lamp presents as a super example.
We have not restored the lamp or its finish.
We have taken the photos outside in order to accurately capture the lamp\'s condition.

The lamp measures approximately 12\" tall.
The frosted glass shade measures approximately 4.75\" tall.
The base is approximately 5.25\" wide.
Marked on the underside with 2 numbers: 320 and 5001.
The lamps works however, it is recommended that all vintage/antique lamps be inspected and tested by a qualified electrical professional prior to use.

Insurance and signature confirmation will be included intheshipping/handling total for purchased items in order to protect against loss, damage, theft or misplaced packages.All items will be shipped with insurance and signature confirmation, regardless of the sale price.
We list our shipping method as USPS although we will occasionally use other services (UPS, FedEx etc.)should they be more cost-effective, safer, and/or more convenient while still providing needed insurance and signature options.Please note: heavy items, fragile pieces, and fine jewelry will have higher domestic shipping costs based on the package weight and/or value of the item. Where applicable shipping fees will be calculated dependent on the item\'s final weight, the cost of insurance, packaging, and destination.
Some of our shipping methods for larger items (furniture, large signs etc.) include ForwardAir, which does not ship door to door. However, they do have outlets all over the country. If you have a shipping method and/ or company that is safe while being more cost effective and/or convenient we will do our best to accommodate.
We are shipping valuable pieces of history and therefore, we package them as securely as possible to ensure their safe arrival including double boxing or crating where appropriate which may addweightto the final total cost of shipping. In which case, normal shipping costs will not apply.
Please do not include shipping in your offer. We will not honor an offer that includes shipping.
