A circa 1924 antique typewriter measuring approximately 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches in its original case measuring approximately 13 1/4 x 12 x 4 3/4 inches. Most keys function and the 3/4 key needs a new spring on the bottom; if decorative it is fine but a short service will bring this beauty back to business. Some light paint loss most notably near front graphics as pictured. The Corona 4 came onto the market in 1924 as Corona\'s first 4-row keyboard portable that fit into a case without folding the carriage. This model was tremendously popular; Corona claimed that this portable was responsible for a big breakthrough in typewriter sales, increasing by fifty times the individuals using typewriters. The Corona Company then underwent a merger during this machine\'s heyday, joining with the office machine maker L.C. Smith Bros. to eventually become Smith-Corona.
