This is a fantastic image by Lai Afong - the man considered to be the most significant Chinese photographer of the nineteenth century. The photograph is \"signed\" with a stamp on the back that reads \"Afong Photographer Hong Kong\". The image is a view of the Happy Valley Race Course. The photo shows staining in the corners as well as creases through the image on the top and bottom as well as creases throughout the corners. The image measures about 8\" tall x 11&3/8\" wide. This is an important original Chinese photograph by an accomplished photographer from the 1870s.
