This is a decorative Huichol yarn painting.There is information about the story the image relates, and the artist’ssignature, on the back in Spanish. I was unable to translate the information. Thetheme is quite unusual. The item was from a San Francisco Bay Area collection. Using photoshop, I was able to enhance the writing on the back.
This is a fine exampleof Huichol visual storytelling.
