A EARLY 19th CENTURY BRASS PANTOGRAPH-BY W & S JONES
For sale is this fine quality early 19th century brass pantograph which is complete and in working order,
with the original wood case; which was used for tracing an existing plan drawing or altering to different scales, where various scalenumbering is present on the arms, see photos.The makers stamp is present:- W & S Jones, London, see photo 8. The original lacquered finish to the brass work is present and in good condition. There is a label to the inside of the lid, reading J. Halden & Co Ltd with hand written markings:- 14/8/31, A/E/R, 4/4/-, which Iassumeis a calibration reference.
Condition of the instrument is excellent, having no damage; the wood case has no major damage, splits of cracks but there are scratch marks due to age/use. Please see photographs
