What I am pasting here is from notes and new information that will be included with the sale:
These slides were used by Bert Knox for his Quality Shop inGoldendale WA in the 1920s. He was well known in the area. New information Igot comes from one of his grandchildren. They still have several hats withoriginal tags rom the store. Theinformation that came down with these from Bertand his granddaughter are as follows:
Bert was good friends with Lyman W Ward who owned the StarTheater next door. At that time it was still silent films and was where theKlickitat Valley Bank is currently (1980s) In exchange for the free advertisinghis store before movies or intermission Bert made sure Mr Ward got hisFlorsheim shoes he liked and his Stetsons. Bert was always in competition with thebiggest store in town, Ledbetters. The Knox family today are still friends with Lyman Wards grandson. Bert Hoyle Knox 1886-1994.
Treasured items that the family passed on having in person. So I sent copies and put attached to Berts findagrave. Great items for a historical group or serious collector. They are 4\" X 3 1/4\" and are very clean and crisp and no damage at all.
It just dawned on me with the amount of work I put in researching even a single card and identifying people etc that is something you are paying for as well. You are welcome :) Is it correct? Yes it is, I am a very good researcher and pretty much in the 99% success range LOL Its not bragging if it is a fact :)
I do combine shipping, ask anyone :)
Thanks for stopping by my little shed of things. The shot of the star theater is how it was at its original location, I pulled it from online, the same as the photo of Bert and his wife. They are not part of the sale.
