This is a lovely selection of holiday POSTCARDS forMOTHER'S and FATHER"S DAY. These areANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. There are two Mother's Day and one Father's Day postcards. The Mother's Day postcards are EMBOSSED with GOLD TRIM in the design. The Father's Day postcard is AIR BRUSHED with color, and has an UNDIVIDED BACK. These have the classic look for these types of postcards, and are colorful and attractive.

These are good postcards to add to a collection because of their attractive nature, their good detail, and how pleasing they are to look at. They wouldappeal to collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used back in the early 1900s, and how they show a glimpse of life back then. They are from different publishers. Overall, a niceselection of Mother's & Father's Day Greetings postcards at a reasonable price.

AIR BRUSHED postcards are unique and they only had a "short life". Most of these were "Printed In Germany" during the early years of the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). Air Brushed postcards were first made by embossing the paper, and then hand-coloring the paper by using an air-operated tool to spray paint the ink or dye onto the postcard. Those with GOLD TRIM had an extra step in that the gold was probably added afterwards, so that the gold color was not covered up.Air brushed postcards have now become collector items. They are a pleasure to look at.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates of 1908-1909. One has a stamp from the Philippines. Two of the postcards have DIVIDED backs and one has an UNDIVIDED Back. These would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era).

These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition.

Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection.However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards.We do not want you to be disappointed, so look closely at the photos we provide to see the postcards and the backs.
