1960s OM 15/60 (Italy) ANTIQUE CARS Card Transfer Salada Tea SEALED in CELLO For Sale

This scarce card is one in a series of 40 transfersissued in Canada by the SALADA FOODS LTD of Toronto and Montreal CanadaLimited. One was insertedinto each package of their Salada Tea and other products. I have not been able to find this series listed in any guide that I am aware of, nor have I beenable to find a definitive date of issue.However I speculate that is was more than likely some time in the 1960’sera. The front of each card features an image of aparticular Antique Car. The back gives a brief description on how touse the transfer and indicates that they were made by the Canada Decalcomania Co. Ltd. .It also features writing in both English and French. Thiscard features a OM 15/60 1925 The Card measures 2 inches by 1 3/4 inches approximately. Thiscard is still sealed in it’soriginal cello wrapper. That alone makes this a scarce example Becausethese cards are in fact decals not many have probably survived. Likestickers these were probably stuck down or transferredby the kids and destroyed. They are tough to come by in any format letalone STILL SEALED IN CELLO. The Cello has yellowed slightly over theyears. All cello does yellow or darkenover time. I have scannedthe front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the conditionfor yourself. THESE CARDS WERE NEVERISSUED IN THE U.S. and are fairly scarce. Due to the lower population in Canadathan in the US, print runs in Canadawere much smaller compared withAmerican Cards. (Because of this the majority of all Canadian non sports cardsare far scarcer than card issued inthe US.
