1960’s 1/4\" scale, “Carter Aircraft” Prototype Wind Test Model Airplane and 1/16 scale blueprint. The undated blueprint measures 28” tall by 51” wide and is marked Carter Aircraft, Co., Stead Air Base, Reno NV and Drawing by J.C. It is faded and has many rips and chips but all the drawings and text are still intact with no tape repairs. It should be professionally mounted and covered away from sunlight to preserve it.
The all-original model airplane measures 28” long, 26” wide, 8” tall to the top of the plastic propeller, 6” to the top of the rear wing. Wood stand measures 10” by 7” at the widest and the curved metal holder is 5 ½” tall to where the plane rests on it. Model plane and stand weigh 5 lb. Plane is made mostly out of fiberglass.
I bought this off a collector in Reno, Nevada 20 years ago. He bought it locally many years before from another collector. None of us ever took the time to research the history of this company and if the real plane was ever produced, blueprints show it as a wind tunnel test model.
Be sure to look over all the pictures of the model and the drawings/information in the blueprint shots. I know nothing more than what is here, you will have to do your own research. Obviously it is one of a kind and could be quite valuable.

This can be shipped by United States Postal Service to all countries that have maximum 108” size (shortest measurement all the way around plus longest side). The rate will be provided under the, “Shipping an payments” tab when you choose the country it is to be shipped to. If it does not calculate then that country may have a 79” limit and it can not be shipped there by USPS. If you pay through PayPal it must be valued and insured at the full price. If USPS will not insure it at full value then other payment/risk arrangement will have to be made.
