1954 VTG XMAS ADVERTISING PREMIUM FAMILY CIRCLE HUGE ANGEL XMAS CARD HOLDER:
$51.98

This is a really exceptional and rare Christmas decoration! It is a HUGE Christmas angel, meant to display Christmas cards! Ther is a slot on each of the stars on the angels dress, where you can insert the cards for display. The corrugated red cardboard base is open in the front, to hold the additional cards. It is tab in slot construction, with the skirt and dress in 3D. I didn't find any dimensions listed, BUT, the base is 16 1/2" wide and 8" tall. The angels wings are about 17" long, her hands are 4 1/2" long, and her face is about 7 1/2" long. Her dress is about 18" long. All together, I would guesstimate that she stands about 3 feet tall. That, of course, is an estimate; she could be taller. There is a coyright date on the instructions of 1954, and the piece was designed by Erica and Harold Egan. The piece was a mail order advertising premium from Family Circle Magazine. It is unused, and comes in it's original unmarked envelope. It is complete, and looks to be easy to assemble. It would be a really wonderful addition to your Christmas decorating! The angel, when assembled, doesn't make any reference to Family CIrcle. The pieces are all undamaged, but the backs (which don't show) have age discolored. The fronts of the pieces are all clean and bright. Family Circle also had a Santa, that I have for sale in a different listing. The Santa is 3 1/2 feet tall. They also offered, in the same year, a package that had 9 3D paper sculpture ornaments. I have lots of really unusual and scarce holiday items for sale, so take a look! JONESANTIQUES! JONESANTIQUES!
