1940\'s Packard Swan hood ornament with amber/orange lucite -vintage piece For Sale

I\'m helping a family friend sell their vintage car part collection. Up next is anoriginal 1940\'s Packard Swan hood ornament with amber/orange lucite. Now the big question here is the lucite. The owner claims its the original and the condition is absolutely amazing as you can see from the pics. He\'s had this in his possession since the 1990\'s. I honestly don\'t know how to tell or prove it\'s the original lucite but if someone does, let me know. I\'m going to assume for the purpose of this sale this is not the original lucite.
