The airfield was named in honor of 1st Lt FrankBenjamin Tyndall (1894–1930).With the establishment of theUnited States AirForcein 1947, the facility was renamed \"Tyndall Air Force Base\"on 13 January 1948. There are 32 pages of B&W pictures. The booklet is broken down into different sections of operation, for example, \"Instruction the Keynote at Tyndall\", \"Around the Field\", \"Men at Work\", Where All Faiths Meet\", \"Hit That Target\", \"Barracks Life\", \"Off Duty\", \"Sports\", \"On the Range\", \"The Gunner\" and \"Activities\". There is no date on it, but in the back there is a place to put your name, squadron and date. Not filled in.
