1930s/40s Folk Art wooden Carnival Game For Sale

1930s/40s Folk Art wooden Carnival Game. As found - has not been cleaned or altered. The wood is painted a light green - the pin striping of the pin and ball are very period of that time. The rheostat on the back doesnot appear to work to dim lights. Left top bulb is red, right is blue 25w ea. Patrons would pay an amount for a matchedwinnings then from a distance release ball on string to swing and knock pin down. Was told that the operator woulddemonstrate and then place a very thin magnetic strip down to bind the screw heads holding the brass hinge.This made knocking over the pin very difficult. I do not have that cheat magnet but one could get a mag stripif desired to have one - the hinge screw heads are metal and a magnet does attract to them on either side. Thepointed fringe bulbs can be replaced with the old style pointed xmas bulbs. Sometimes it requires re-seat of pointed bulb tocomplete this circuit and they all light. There are scrapes and wear and soil. The old electric cord and bakeliteplug look in good shape - couple pieces of electrical tape on cord in spots. I would not change a thingwith this piece as it is definitelyperiod. Very unique and oddball piece.
Dimensions: 27\" high x 22\" w x 8\" deep weight is about 10 lbs.
