1920s CARVED GOLD FRAME & LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING Sold by The Broadway Stores For Sale

A 1920's deep carved gold frame housing an oil painting on artist's board. The frame measures 21.5 x 12.5 x 1.75." It takes a picture measuring 17 x 8". There is a price sticker on the back that says Broadway Department Store, which probably refers to the iconic The Broadway Stores. Some early 20th century department stores sold original artworks for home decoration. The painting isn't signed, but the frame is a beauty.
A very nice decorative item for your Craftsman home, or use the frame for your artwork. The frame has a few light scratches, some of which were there before it was painted gold. One thin sliver off a back corner not visible from the front side, see 6th pic. None of these detract from the beauty of the carved frame.
Some of the pictures show a shadow on the frame. The frame is an even gold color.Cleaned of dust and ready to hang.
