A near mint RPPC postally unused. 1899 The Dalles Oregon Brewery Maybe the Eastern Oregon Brewing Co. Or Columbia as it is on 2nd St and the building is still there today. Noted far right is John Blaser, a pioneer of The Dalles in so many ways.
He lived 1856-1925. He owned one of the original Blacksmith shops and was a pioneer member of the old Jackson Fire Engine Compnay, The Dalles famous fire fighting brigade. At the time of his death he was the Mid Colmbia oldest living fire chief. The old saloon, In the Horn, many of the horns in there were mounted by him. On his headtone in The Dalles, it is writtenauf wiedersehen which is simply goodbye in German. They have a nice beer garden going on and the keg I think is marked as A. Buchner Ales. Maybe the symbol is masonic.
It should be noted this was a re-print Elite Photo studio did in 1930, per info on the back. It is near mint condition
Going to start doing Buy Now. If you think an item is too high or not rare enough, then send me an offer and tell me why. :)
NOTE: I can't send regular 1st class on here as there is only ground advantage and requires tracking using their system. Most items can go for $1.50 but I lose seller status etc if it can't be tracked. I do try to combine shipping if you let me know when and what. Within a day or two.
Of course the X will not be on the original. Just being sure the buyer has full rights to it.
