1886 Thomas Edison signed envelope to Fort Myers Florida Lamp Co Newark antique: $455.00
Original handwritten envelope by Thomas Edison. The envelope was sent to his new winter residence and lab in Fort Myers Florida in 1886. Addressed to his employee Le Grand Parish, who worked for Edison as a machinist. He was sent to florida as a liaison to take care of Edison\'s estate and lab. It was well documented that Parish was at the residence in Florida during the fall of 1886, and kept a log of expenses. Edison was also solely working at his Lamp Company factory in East Newark (Harrison now) in the Fall of 1886. Edison and Parish exchanged letters on only a few occasions which can be researched at the Rutgers University files on Thomas Edison online. A true historical piece of American History. Ships fast
