15 Ancient Indus Valley Harappian Female Figure Clay Artifact — Ca. 2600-2000 BC:
$299.95

This listing is for 15 pieces in a fine display case with the following description:

For sale is this authentic antique Indus Valley fragment of a female figure. This figure is made out of a tan clay pottery. It would have been molded/sculpted by hand into the rough shape of a anthropomorphic female. Note that this is just a fragment, but does include the upper portion (including head). The bottom portion is broken off and lost to time. Being from the Indus Valley, this piece was found in modern day Pakastan, or far Western India. It is estimated to date back to roughly 2600-2000 BC. This piece would have likely once been painted, and had much more detail to it, however after being buried for so long, it is substantially worn. Notice also that there are some other chips, missing pieces, and light issues with the entire figure. This piece will have blemishes throughout. This piece has the following provenance: I purchased this from a private collection of Near Eastern Antiquities out of Sonoita, Arizona, USA. The previous owner has had it in his collection for a couple of decades. He purchased it from a reputable Near Eastern Antiquities dealer at the 1995 Tuscan, AZ Gem and Mineral Show. It is guaranteed to be ethically acquired. Digs in this area of the world became popular in the 1920’s or so, so it is likely that it was excavated sometime between 1940-1990. This is an incredible piece and would make a perfect addition to any collection. Note that this is a guaranteed authentic piece, and is not just one of the cheap fakes on the market today. This is also an un-restored piece, but could be restored easily by a professional if you so choose. Some people choose to have them painted like the originals, or the missing pieces replicated. I personally preferred it to stay how it was found so I held off. It is a perfect display piece! Don’t pass it up!

Be sure to check over the details and look at all of the photos so you will know exactly what you’ll get! Sometimes the photos include a picture of the item next to a ruler so that you can better tell the size of the item. This way we can avoid any accidental sizing issues. My goal is to make you happy!
