1922 YANKEES IN SAN ANTONIO, GOLDBECK PANORAMA. 10 x 28 inch gelatin silver print, 1922, printed by E. O. Goldbeck for the owner in 1981. As the printed title indicates, Babe Ruth is in the center.
Ruth had returned late in the season, after having been suspended. The Yankees lost the World Series to the NY Giants, whose home field, The Polo Grounds, the Yankees were using while Yankee Stadium was under construction.
