🔥 Antique Mid Century Modern Asian Japanese Abstract Minimalist Painting - Ume For Sale

This is a striking and very cool Antique Mid Century Modern Asian Japanese Abstract Oil Painting on canvas, by early Japanese modernist painter Ume Sakurasawa. Not much is know about this artist, but perhaps you know more about her or her work? This painting depicts a bold abstraction of vertical bands of red, white, blue and black, which organically blend and ebb across the canvas. Signed and dated: “Ume 1970” in the lower right. Additionally, this work is titled and signed on the verso: “The Conversation With Inspiration. Ume Sakurasawa,” and includes her signature in Japanese characters as well. Approximately 32 1/2 x 38 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 24 x 30 inches. Good condition for age, with a few small vertical tears which are virtually unnoticeable because of their placement (please see photos.)
