This isa .5 liter etched or incised stein made by Villeroy & Boch of Germany at their Mettlach factory in 1904 . It is 10\" to the top of the pewter armorial thumb-lift which is firmly attached to the handle through a 5 ring hinge. Scene of lovers in a wine cellar with 2nd man looking on and etched insert lid with heart and roses. Stein is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or hairlines.
