| An unusual technique is featured in this oval glass dish. The base is leather painted to look like adobe clay, and it is covered with crinkled metallic foils in several colors. Above this is a layer of multicolor paint or enamels, and the top coating is clear glass. It is is very good condition with minor separation of the layers at one end, which is probably a manufacturing flaw. It is about 5.5" by 8" and marked "Hecho en Mexico" (Made in Mexico) and "799", which seems to represent the studio edition code. With a hanger on the back so it can be used as a display piece, this bright and unique dish will liven up any room. Priority insured shipping to the continental USA will be $7.85 for this item. |
