View Larger Image   Stanley Plumb & Level No. 4 ca. 1860's Adjustable   Description: This is a very clean 28" long adjustable level and plumb, marked "STANLEY RULE AND LEVEL CO. NEW BRITIAN CONN." in a circular logo and we note a number "4" on one end also. This level seems to match the description we have of the number 4 also. Very rare level since we have not seen one with this type 2 logo on it before! It is hardwood, with brass end corner tips, very little wear overall some minor dings and dents, a few end grain seperation that are contained by the brass end corner tips. It has a nice finish and patina. Both plumb and level sight tubes are in good working order. It features brass hardware including 4 end caps. A very attractive plumb/level.
